As we all know, no two individuals are alike. The learners
we deal with are also different; they all tend to learn uniquely. They learn
better if they get opportunities to involve more than one sense organ in a
particular learning situation. Therefore, adopting multisensory learning
strategies always enhances the learning experience of learners. Therefore, we
as a teacher need to go beyond textbooks and use more and more digital and
physical resources. ICT is an abbreviation of Information & Communications Technology. ICT has immense
possibilities to go beyond text and to make better sense of what children
learn. ICT covers all forms of Computer and Communication equipment as well as
the software used to create, store, transmit, receive, interpret, and
manipulate information in its various formats. Information comes in various
formats and it is all around us , such as Voice conversations, Text, pictures,
Data, Motion Pictures or Video, Multimedia Presentations, etc. This module will
unfold the concept of ICT and its potential for effective teaching-learning and
assessment. It aims at preparing a teacher to critically analyze the content,
context, and method of teaching and to identify appropriate ICT accordingly.
